Mammillaria decipiens Scheidw.

Clustering, body globular to 8 cm wide. Tubercles prominent to 1 cm. Axils woolly, bearing 4 bristles. Central spines (0)1-2, to 18 mm long, yellowish, tips brown. Radial spines 7-8, to 10 mm long, pale yellowish or whitish. Flowers white with pinkish central stripe, to 2 cm long. Fruit red-green.
