Microsorum scolopendria

Rhizome long-creeping, to 1 cm wide, sparsely scaly, becoming whitish. Fronds well separated on rhizome. Blade to about 40 cm long, divided into 4-8 lobe pairs which gradually narrow towards the tip; ribs raised on both surfaces, leathery; stalk to 3 cm long. Sori in 2 irregular rows on each side of the midrib, sunken.

Needs shelter and warmth.

Australia, New Guinea, Polynesia, Malaysia, Asia, Tropical Africa.

Sunken sori often in a double row.
