Billbergia iridifolia (Nees & Mart.) Lindl.

Leaves 5-6 in a short, tubular rosette, silvery grey, 20-30 cm long, 3-5 cm wide; margins with widely spaced teeth. Scape arching, with thin rose-coloured bracts. Inflorescence pendent. Flowers widely spaced in a spiral arrangement; sepals yellow-green to pink; petals yellow, usually with a blue tip.
