Oraniopsis appendiculata (F.M. Bailey) J. Dransfield, A.K. Irvine & Uhl

Solitary spineless and toothless palm. Trunk short, stout, leaf scars relatively inconspicuous. Crownshaft absent. Leaves feather-shaped, erect to arching in a dense crown, a few dead leaves often hanging from the crown. Leaflets narrow, crowded, greyish-green. Leaf sheath splitting opposite the petiole. Leaf stalk short with smooth, sharp margins. Flowers unisexual, the sexes on separate plants. Panicles arising among the leaves. Fruit about 3.5 cm across, yellow, with 1 rounded seed.
