Eucharis amazonica Planch.

Plants to over 0.5 m tall. Leaves several per bulb, the blades to about 30 cm long with about 20 veins each side of the midrib. Flower clusters of about 8 flowers, each on a stalk 2-3 cm long. Perianth about 10 cm wide with a curved tube 6-8 cm long with a short corona and bending down, the lobes spreading, fragrant; flowering sporadic. Ovules 9-12 per chamber. [E. grandiflora misapplied]
