Tree to 9 m high with a swollen bulbous base to 1.5 m wide. Leaves linear, 80-180 cm long, 1-2 cm wide, grooved, margins entire, grey-green. Panicle 1-1.5 m long. Syn. Nolina recurvata (Lem.) Hemsl.
