Stem to 60 cm tall, unbranched, winged. Leaves basal, shorter than stems, 4-6 mm wide. Spathes almost equal. Flowers 3-7, bright yellow with dark veins, 25-30 mm wide, summer. Segments oblong, acute, 12-18 mm long. Syn. S. boreale (Bicknell) Henry, S. brachypus (Bicknell) Henry.

Vancouver to California.
