Watson Californian Blue-eyed Grass

Stems 20-60 cm tall, branched, flattened. Leaves basal, much shorter than stems, 3-5 mm wide. Spathes very unequal. Flowers pale to dark-blue with yellow centre, 20-25 mm wide; late spring, continuing through summer. Segments about 15 mm long, wedge-shaped, blunt with a tiny point in a notch at the tip.
