Rhinerrhiza divitiflora (Benth.) Rupp

Raspy Root Orchid

Medium sized epiphyte or rarely epilith. Stems to 4 cm long, roots flattened and rough. Leaves 2?6, to 16 cm long, to 3.5 cm wide, leathery, dark green. Inflorescences to 30 cm long, pendent. Flowers 6?60, to 5 cm long, not opening fully, pale orange with basal reddish blotches; late winter to spring. Sepals and petals linear. Labellum small, white with yellow and red striations.
