Nageliella medusae Rchb.f.

Small epiphyte or epilith. Stems to 25 cm long, tufted, hanging. Leaves many, oblong, to 7 cm long, to 3 cm wide, tip 2-lobed, blue-green. Flowers usually solitary, to 8 cm wide, yellow-green with reddish markings, labellum deep maroon; summer. Sepals and petals similar, oblong, spreading. Labellum almost round, tip notched, margins deeply fringed. Syn. Epidendrum medusae (Rchb. f.) Veitch.
