Pansy Orchid

Medium sized epiphyte or epilith. Pseudobulbs ovoid, to 4 cm long, compressed. Leaves linear, to 22 cm long, to 0.6 cm wide. Flowers 3-5, to 6.5 cm wide, mostly. Sepals elliptic, pointed. Petals elliptic, wider than sepals. Labellum broadoblong, waisted near middle, notched at tip, with purplish blotches and streaks; callus of 3 blunt teeth, white; spring to autumn. Syn. Miltonia phalaenopsis (Linden & Rchb. f.) Nicholson
