Huntleya meleagris Lindl.

Medium sized epiphyte. Leaves strap-like, to 40 cm long, to 5 cm wide, pale green. Flowers to 12 cm wide, fragrant, cream to yellow at base, brown towards tip, petals sometimes with a purple blotch near base; summer to autumn. Sepals and petals similar, ovate to lanceolate. Labellum ovate, sometimes streaked with purple, callus with a crest of maroon hairs. Syn. Batemannia meleagris (Lindl.) Rchb. f., Zygopetalum meleagris (Lindl.) Benth.
