Diplocaulobium regale (Schltr.) A.D.Hawkes

Medium sized epiphyte. Pseudobulbs bulbous at base then narrow-cylindrical, to 60 cm long, sheathed at base. Leaves strap-like, to 20 cm long, to 3.5 cm wide, leathery, shiny. Flowers 1 or 2, to 4 cm wide, produced successively, deep pink. Sepals and petals elliptic, about equal. Labellum 3-lobed, side lobes almost round, midlobe triangular, labellum white with purplish stripes; summer to autumn.
