Small epiphyte. Stem to 6 cm long. Leaves to 5.5 cm long, to 1.5 cm wide. Inflorescences to 5 cm long. Flowers few, to 4.5 cm wide, white with yellow blotch on labellum centre; spring to summer. Labellum lobes oblong. Spur about 3 cm long, elongating to 10 cm with age. Syn. Angraecum philippinense Ames.
A. monticola J.E. Cootes & D.P. Banks is similar to the above, but plants are generally more robust, flowers appear earlier, are larger and pure white, and the labellum has a longer spur.
