Aerides falcata Lindl.

Robust epiphyte or epilith. Stem to 2 m long. Leaves strap-shaped, to 30 cm long, to 4 cm wide, leathery, curved, glaucous above, streaked dark green or reddish below. Inflorescences to 50 cm long. Flowers to 4 cm wide, white with purplish suffusions, spur greenish; summer. Sepals and petals ovate-oblong. Labellum 3-lobed, mid lobe ovate to obovate, tip notched. Spur short, compressed, forward-pointing.
