Subshrub to 30 cm tall, hairy. Stems erect or ascending, branched. Leaves twice divided, to 5 cm long, primary segments to 1 cm long. Capitula usually 3-7 in corymbs, to 1.5 cm across; summer. Ray florets yellow. Achenes about 2.5 mm long. Pappus a toothed crown.
