Lonicera fragrantissima Lindl. & Paxt.

Deciduous or evergreen shrub to 2 m or so tall. Leaves opposite, to 4 cm long, 2 cm wide, elliptic to obovate, lower surface waxy-blue; leaf stalks to 5 mm long, joined by a prominent ridge. Flowers paired. Corolla 1-1.5 cm long, cream, strongly fragrant; spring. Fruit ovoid, about 5 mm long, red.
