Dampiera purpurea R.Br.

Erect subshrub to 1m tall with ribbed stems. Leaves obovate to elliptic, 2-5 cm long, 0.5-4 cm wide, the margins entire or toothed, lower surface grey- or rusty-hairy, sometimes shortly stalked. Flower clusters on 2-9 branches, in groups of 3-5; spring to summer. Flowers about 1.5 cm long, grey-hairy outside, blue to purple.
