Herbaceous perennial to about 0.5 m tall. Basal rosette leaves lyre-shaped, with dark markings, deeply cut, narrowed at the base; margin wavy. Flowers in whorls of 3-10. Corolla tube 2-3 cm long, lilac or purple; summer.
