Yellow Oleander

Shrub to 6 m tall. Leaf blade linear-lanceolate to lanceolate, up to 15 cm long and 1.5 cm wide, upper surface dark glossy green, lower surface pale green; tip acute; base attenuate. Flowers 5-6 cm long, 2.4-3.5 cm wide; corolla yellow or orange; tube 25-28 mm long; lobes obovate, 27-33 mm long, 13-15 mm wide. Fruit 20-27 mm long, 28-30 mm wide, black when ripe. Peru

 

C. thevetioides (Humb., Bonpl. & Kunth) Lippold from Peru is a shrub to 6 m tall with linear-lanceolate to lanceolate leaf blades, up to 15 cm long and 1.5 cm wide, the upper surface dark glossy green, lower surface pale green; tip acute; base attenuate. Flowers 6-7 cm long, 6-12 cm wide, corolla yellow, tube 35-40 mm long, lobes obovate, 50-60 mm long, 35-40 mm wide. Fruit 30-40 mm long, 50-60 mm wide, black when ripe.
