Small to medium-sized tree. New growth slightly hairy at first. Leaves 15-25 cm long. Leaflets 4-11, obovate to elliptic, 5-15 cm long, 2-6 cm wide, leathery, tip blunt, margins entire. Flower clusters 8-30 cm long; autumn to winter. Petals yellowish to 3 mm long. Fruit capsule roundish, 1.5-3 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, orange with thick valves and black seeds.
