Chilean Guava

Shrub 1-2 m tall. Leaves 1.5-3.5 cm long, 1-2 cm wide, ovate to elliptic, glossy, tip pointed. Flowers cup-shaped, to about 0.5 cm wide. Sepals narrow, curled back. Petals pale pink, fragrant; summer. Fruit a round, russet to blue-black berry about 6 mm wide with persistent sepals. Syn. Myrtus ugni Mol.
