Luma Gray

Native Chilean name.

Evergreen shrubs or small trees. Leaves opposite, entire, leathery, elliptic. Flowers solitary or in groups of 3. Calyx of 4 lobes. Petals 4. Stamens numerous. Ovary of 2 chambers with 10 or so seeds in each chamber. Fruit a fleshy berry.

4 species from Chile and Argentina.

Seed or cuttings.

Sepals and petals 4; fruit a fleshy berry.
