Rosa xanthina Lindl.

Erect shrub to about 3 m tall. Prickles straight or curved, sometimes flattened. Leaflets 7-13, to 2 cm long, elliptic to obovate, hairless above, hairy below, teeth simple; stipules narrow. Flowers 1-2, semi-double to 5 cm wide, yellow; late spring, early summer. Fruit 1-1.5 cm wide, more or less round, deep red, hairless.
