Western Wild Rose

Shrub to 2 m tall. Prickles straight or curved and sometimes with bristles. Leaflets 5-7(9), obovate to elliptic, to 3 cm long, teeth simple, hairless above, hairless or downy below; stipules narrow. Flowers few together, pink or occasionally white; summer. Styles free, not protruding. Fruit to 1.5 cm wide, smooth.
