Rosa glauca Pourr.

Shrub to 3 m tall. Prickles large, straight or curved, sometimes with bristles. Leaflets 5-7, to about 4 cm long, waxy, ovate, hairless, teeth simple. Flowers single or in clusters of up to 12, pink with white at the base; summer. Fruit 1-1.5 cm wide, roundish, red, hairless or with a few bristles. Syn. R. rubrifolia Vill.

Montane C and S Europe.
