Rosa gigantea Collett ex Crép.

Climbing shrub. Prickles large, same size, hooked. Leaves semi-evergreen, with 5-7 glossy, hairless, roundish leaflets with simple teeth. Flowers mostly solitary, to 14 cm wide, single, creamy, fragrant; early summer. Fruit 2-3 cm wide, round to pearshaped, reddish or reddish yellow.
