Rosa blanda Aiton

Erect shrub 1-2 m tall, thornless or with a few narrow, straight prickles at the base. Leaflets 5-7(9), elliptic to obovate, to 5 cm long, usually downy below and with simple marginal teeth. Stipules widest towards the tip. Flowers 1-7, single, 4-6 cm wide, pink, fragrant; early summer. Fruit about 1 cm wide, red.
