Dwarf Russian Almond

Deciduous shrub to 1.5 m tall. Leaves elliptic, to 7 cm long, margins serrulate to crenulate. Flowers 1-3 per bud in early spring, single, 2-2.5 cm wide, stalk 0.3 cm long, petals with deep pink margins fading to white at the base, tips of calyx lobes rounded and toothed. Fruit pubescent, almond-like.

C Europe to Siberia.
