Amelanchier canadensis (L.) Medik.

A stoloniferous fastigiate shrub to 7 m or more tall. Leaves to 5 cm long, 2.5 cm wide, elliptic, margin with small pointed teeth, vein pairs 9-13. Flowers white; spring. Stamens 20. Fruit about 1 cm wide, round, purplish black with a grey waxy bloom.
