Perennial herb to 1 m tall. Leaves oblong-ovate, to about 20 cm long, blunt-tipped, the base heart-shaped. Leaf stalks of basal leaves longer than leaf blades. Flower clusters close together, without a leaf at the base of each and consisting of about 15-40 flowers; summer.
Europe, SW Asia
Naturalised in Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania and South Australia. Noxious in Western Australia and Tasmania.
