Solitary, body elongate, to 9.5 cm wide and 12.5 cm high, without milky sap. Tubercles prominent. Axils at first woolly. Central spines 2, 3 mm long, white, tips brown. Radial spines 14, 3-6 mm long, white. Flowers purplish red, to 1 cm long.
