Mammillaria solisioides Backeb.

Solitary, body globular, 4-6 cm wide, root turnip-like, without milky sap. Tubercles prominent, short conical. Axils bare. Central spines lacking. Radial spines 25, 5-20 mm long, white, comb-like. Flowers yellowish with reddish central stripe, to 14 mm long. Fruit partially embedded in body, greenish.
