Mammillaria schwartzii Shurly

Clustering, body globular, 2-3.5 cm wide, without milky sap. Axils with up to 12 bristles. Tubercles obscure, cylindrical. Central spines 8-9, 6 mm long, white (or reddish), one with tip hooked. Radial spines 35-40, 8 mm long, white, fine. Flowers whitish or yellowish, 1.5 cm long, 1.2 cm wide. Fruit red.
