Clustering, body depressed globular or elongate, to 6 cm wide and 10 cm high, without milky sap. Axils white woolly. Tubercles obscure, conical. Central spines lacking. Radial spines 70-80 in several series, 2-5 mm long, white to golden-yellow at base, fine, hair-like. Flowers yellowish-white, 2 cm long and wide. Fruit carmine-red.
