Mammillaria plumosa F.A.C.Weber

Freely clustering and mounding, body globular to 7 cm wide, without milky sap. Tubercles obscure. Axils white woolly. Central spines lacking. Radial spines 40, 3-7 cm long, white, feathery. Flowers yellowish to greenish, to 1.5 cm long and wide. Fruit red.
