Mammillaria parkinsonii Ehrenb.

Clustering by dichotomous branching, body elongate, 8-10(-15) cm wide and to 15 cm high, with milky sap. Tubercles prominent, pyramidal. Axils woolly and bristly. Central spines 2-5, 6-8 mm long, white, lower spine to 35 mm long, curving. Radial spines 30-35, 4-6 mm long, white, fine. Flowers cream or pale pink, to 1.5 cm long and wide. Fruit red.
