Mammillaria oteroi Glass & R.A.Foster

Clustering, body depressed globular, to 4 cm wide. Tubercles prominent, cylindrical. Axils woolly and bristly. Central spines solitary, to 11 mm long, reddish-brown, tip hooked. Radial spines 12-14, 6-8 mm long, white, tips brown, needle-like. Flowers whitish with reddish central stripe, 1.5 cm long and wide. Fruit red.
