Mammillaria nivosa Link

Solitary or typically clustering, body globular, to 7 cm wide, with milky sap. Tubercles prominent, conical. Axils densely white woolly. Central spines 1(-5), to 2 cm long, yellow. Radial spines 8-10(-14), to 1.5 cm long, yellow to brown. Flowers creamy yellow, to 2 cm long. Fruit red.
