Mammillaria nejapensis R.T.Craig & E.Y.Dawson

Solitary or clustering by dichotomous branching, body globular or elongate, to 7.5 cm wide and 15 cm high, with milky sap. Tubercles prominent, conical. Axils densely woolly and bristly. Central spines lacking. Radial spines (3-)4(-5), 2-5 mm long, lower to 50 mm, whitish, tips brown. Flowers dull white with red central stripe, to 2 cm long and 1.5 cm wide. Fruit red.
