Mammillaria napina J.A.Purpus

Solitary or clustering, body depressed globular to 5 cm wide, root turnip-like, without milky sap. Tubercles prominent. Axils bare or woolly. Central spines lacking. Radial spines 10-12, 8-9 mm long, whitish or yellowish. Flowers rose-pink to carmine, to 4 cm wide. Fruit depressed.
