Mammillaria nana Backeb.

Solitary or clustering, body globular to 5 cm wide. Tubercles prominent. Axils woolly and bristly. Central spines (0-)1-2, to 5 mm long, brownish, low­er spine with hooked tip. Radial spines 35, 5 mm long, white, fine. Flowers cream or yellow, 1 cm long and 1.5 cm wide. Fruit pink to dark red.

Probably a variant of M. bocasana.
