Mammillaria matudae Bravo

Solitary or clustering, body globular or elongate, to 5 cm wide and 30 cm high, with milky sap. Tubercles prominent, pyramidal. Axils bare. Central spine solitary, 5 mm long, white or pinkish, translucent, tip red, later grey or brown. Radial spines 18-20, 2-3 mm long, white, translucent, base yellowish. Flowers purplish brown, 1.2 cm long and wide. Fruit green.
