Mammillaria marksiana Krainz

Solitary or clustering, body globular, crown depressed or flat, to 8 cm wide and 5 cm high, with milky sap. Tubercles prominent, pyramidal. Axils woolly. Central spine solitary, 8-10 mm long. Radial spines 8-10, 5-8 mm long, golden-yellow, needle like. Flowers greenish-yellow, 1.5 cm long and wide. Fruit purplish red.
