Mammillaria longimamma D C.

Solitary or eventually clustering, body globular, to 10 cm wide without milky sap. Tubercles prominent, conical 3-7 cm long. Axils bare or felted. Central spines 1(-3), to 25 mm long, whitish or yellowish, eventually brownish or black. Radial spines 9-10, 12-18 mm long. Flowers pale yellow, to 6 cm long and wide. Fruit yellowish.
