Mammillaria longiflora (Britton & Rose) A.Berger

Solitary, body globular or eventually elongate, to 9 cm wide without milky sap. Tubercles prominent. Axils bare or felted. Central spines 4, 10-13 mm long, yellowish or brownish, lower spine longer, 20-25 mm, and hooked. Radial spines 30, 10-13 mm long, yellowish or whitish, needle-like. Flowers pale or dark pink, to 4.5 cm long, 4 cm wide. Fruit sunken in axils.
