Mammillaria jaliscana (Britton & Rose) Boed.

Solitary, body globular, to 6 cm wide. Tubercles obscure, conical. Axils bare. Central spines 4-8, 7-9 mm long, reddish-brown to black, lower spine longer, 12 mm, and hooked. Radial spines 30, to 8 mm long, white, needle-like. Flowers pink to purple, 1 cm wide. Fruit white to pink.

Possibly synonymous with M. mercadensis Patoni.
