Solitary or clustering, body globular or eventually elongate, to 3 cm wide, without milky sap. Tubercles obscure. Axils bare. Central spines lacking. Radial spines about 100, unequal, to 1.5 mm long, white, bristle-like. Flowers pale pink, 2.5 cm long and wide. Fruit whitish.
