Mammillaria densispina (J.M.Coult.) Orcutt

Solitary, body globular to 5 cm or more wide. Tubercles prominent, conical. Axils at first woolly. Central spines 6 to 20 mm long, reddish brown, tips darker, or rarely yellow, tips black. Radial spines 25, unequal, to 13 mm, yellow or brown. Flowers yellow, 2 cm wide, 1 cm long. Fruit pink to red.
