Mammillaria collinsii (Britton & Rose) Orcutt

Clustering, body globular to 4-5 cm wide. Tubercles prominent, cylindrical. Axils bearing wool and bristles, 1 central spine to 12 mm, 7 pale yellowish radial spines 5-7 mm long, tips dark. Flowers pale yellow with a reddish central stripe 1.5 cm long and wide. Fruit red.
